We had a great time on December 10th playing Christmas songs and getting into the spirit of the season.  We had “bell jinglers” too.  A lot of ukulele fun was had by all.  Next Get Together is on January 14.

It seems that I never uploaded pictures from the October anniversary party.

Gail Sheets baked a ukulele cake which was wonderful and Charlie’s Pub and Eatery gave us another cake to help us celebrate. We did not have a set list but played random songs from our full list of songs. A wonderful time was had by all.

Next get together is tonight, November 12.  We will feature some hits from the 40’s

We will not have any new songs for October. The entire song is list is fair game for the evening, pick you favorites and shout ’em out.

October 8th is the official First Anniversary of NWPA Ukuleles, get ready to party. More details will follow.

Hawaiian Night at Charlie’s Pub and Eatery was a huge success with 24 or so ukulele players playing through our list of Hawaiian songs. We will be meeting next on Wednesday, June 12.   A change of evenings has become necessary for the summer months. Be sure to mark you calendar accordingly.

May 14 is the next regularly scheduled get together at Charlie’s Pub and Eatery in Edinboro. Come early and have dinner.

There are eight new Hawaiian type songs (most of them pretty easy to play) posted in the song list on the web site. nwpaukuleles.com Please print these out and give them a try.

There are YouTube versions of all of theses songs to listen to if you are not familiar with the melodies. They may not be in the same key, but will help you to hear what you need to play. We will warm up with some easy familiar songs and then tackle these newer songs together.

I think that some of the Warren ukulele players and also some ukulele players from the Pittsburgh area will be here for this evening of ukulele fun and frolic. I hope that you are able to be there. If you missed the April session you missed a great time playing old folk songs.
